Volodymyr Lytvyn conferred decorations of
the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the members of the National Academy of
Sciences of Ukraine.
On Wednesday, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn visited the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and conferred decorations of the Verkhovna Rada on its members.
The following
awardees received Honorary Diplomas of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for
service to the Ukrainian people, significant personal contribution to the
innovational development of the state, important scientific achievements, and decades-long
creative fruitful work: head of the sector of the Institute of Superhard
Materials of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Mykola Bondarenko, advisor of the
Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Ivan Dziuba, head of the department of the Institute of
Superhard Materials of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Serhii Ivahnenko, head of
the department
Nina Kolesnichenko, director of the Center for Aerospace Studies of the Institute of
Geological Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Vadym Lialko, senior research associate of the Institute of
Superhard Materials of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Vasyl Tkach, deputy director
of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the National Academy of
Sciences of Ukraine Mykhailo Tukalo, and deputy director
of the Institute of Superhard Materials of the National Academy of Sciences of
Ukraine Volodymyr Turkevych.
The Head of the Parliament declared, "The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is the foundation of the state." "Intellect is the main potential of any country, especially the one in need of a powerful impulse in its development." He thanked the academicians for their devotion to science.
